“Leaving coaching, Jackson and the Tetons to jump headfirst into full-time ski racing, while being the bitterest of sweet, has been one of the greatest experiences of my life.”

Lessons Learned as an Independent Racer
Having spent the entire last season racing as an independent, I learned A LOT! Here is a quick update on summer training and a breakdown of the biggest lessons learned from flying solo.
THANK YOU!
Thank you for everything! Funds, waxing, borrowed cars, cheers, places to crash, advice, hugs, food and more. Season 1 has left me so grateful!
So this is the end of the season…
The season comes to an abrupt end with SuperTour finals canceled, but a final race with college mates and spring skiing in the Tetons makes for a happy ending.
In the heat of the season!
The races have been coming fast and hard as the best results of the season yet are happening the Midwest. Sitting in a cabin in the woods of Hayward, WI with the Birkie Marathon this weekend, I couldn’t be having more fun.
Report on US Nationals
After the first races at sea level in 7 years, the realization of high altitude training making me fit, but not fast, has hit hard. Nationals was an educational experience…
Period 1 racing in the books, Nationals on deck.
After an incredible time in Silver Star, Canmore and Sun Valley (and being on the road for over a month), results have been trickling in. Back on the SuperTour at last!
1st Post as an Independent Skier - summer training and what’s next
First professional dryland training season done and on my way to camp in Silver Star, BC. I’m excited with the work put-in and the races to start.
A Humble Goodbye
Written 9/1/19: Coaching with Jackson Hole Nordic for 5 years left a large hand print on my heart. Saying goodbye to pursue my own skiing goals was a difficult choice, but made easier by the athletes pushing me to chase my dreams.
