An jam packed summer of intensely focused training had me feeling on track for a strong season. Then a tumultuous fall season hit leaving me looking at now evolving winter goals.
The most personally difficult season I have ever raced wrapped up in Casper, WY for US Biathlon National Championships. There I saw some of my best results and best shooting of the whole season and ultimately claiming a national title!
It’s officially spring with the end of the race season, but before an update on US National Championships, a recap of the IBU Cup end with a record team result and personal bests.
After a tumultuous trials in late December, my season plan and goals were thrown for a loop. The journey from then to now has been a huge period of growth I am excited to be back on the IBU Cup end of season races.

An incredible first successful, full decent of the Blue Nile in Ethiopia in fall 2017 left me wondering how to begin telling the expedition’s story. Finally, summer 2021, I have written an article for NRS’s Duct Tape Diaries and have published it here as well!
Having spent the entire last season racing as an independent, I learned A LOT! Here is a quick update on summer training and a breakdown of the biggest lessons learned from flying solo.
Written 9/1/19: Coaching with Jackson Hole Nordic for 5 years left a large hand print on my heart. Saying goodbye to pursue my own skiing goals was a difficult choice, but made easier by the athletes pushing me to chase my dreams.
